The Shape of Things to Come

£180.00

The Shape of Things to Come is part of my In Passing theme. I took the photograph in Slaithwaite, West Yorkshire in April 2024.

I photograph containers. These steel structures litter the urban landscape. They are hostile, immobile blocks. But they are versatile and full of potential, being stackable and cavernous. This one reminded me of László Moholy-Nagy’s paintings. What are these painted marks? Why are they different sizes, shapes and colours? What decisions were made in the decoration or maintenance of this object?

Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta.

Print image size: 44.5 x 25 cm

Natural white passe-partout 7cm surround on all sides,

Outer size matt black wood frame: 62.2 x 42.7 cm

The print is part of a limited edition of 25 and comes with signed certificate of authentication.
