My photographs are usually composed to sit on the viewfinder’s 2-dimensional plane. This canvas allows me to navigate and assess the visual arrangement, establishing an equilibrium of the composit elements within the frame. My photographs, therefore, are often not ‘of’ or ‘about’ something, but instead work as an assemblage of elements. This is true here too. In this way I can play with the inherent tension between what is represented and what is abstracted.
