photography

Photography plays two important roles in my consideration of the urban environment.

First, it allows me to gather ideas as I walk around the constructed landscape. In this way, photography serves as my digital sketchbook, becoming a key source of images and ideas that I can then develop through drawing as the basis for producing my prints.

Second, selected images are taken as photographs in their own right. The photographs included in this portfolio fall into this latter category. I hope you like them. The photographic portfolio is again organised around a set of constant themes.
